Lacy LaPlant

Last night I was sitting in my living room when my neighbor came to the door, there he found me sitting on the floor little piles of white powder all around me.

To an outsider I'm sure it looked like I was doing lines of blow off my floor, but really I've got higher standards than that.

Instead it was just another act of clumsiness on my part, I dropped a box of baking soda on the floor and was attempting to sweep it up.

And of course earlier in the day I told a coworker that I was taking a can of solvent from the work room to go back to my photo studio and huff it to get high. She laughed and said she'd be right there to join in. Sometimes working here really is awesome, mostly because they me say wildly inappropriate things and I don't get fired.

Why did you have baking soda in your living room? How do you sit on the floor and sweep at the same time? Maybe if I could figure out how to do that, I wouldn't mind so much mind sweeping.

Basically I was being a bit of a lazy and trying to sweep up with my hands and then wipe the residue away with a wet paper towel.

The reason for baking soda in the living room is that I was putting it in my shoes to keep them fresh.

Ah yes. Making sense now. I never thought of using it in my shoes. That'd sure beat the heck out of paying a bunch of money for the fancy shoe powder stuff.

Assuming you work in a creative field, she probably thought you were serious... just looking for some 'inspiration'.
